The northernmost neighborhood inside Hammond, IN, Robertsdale, is adjacent to Whiting. The two neighborhoods share a zip code, which makes them one big community. There are many new homes in Robertsdale, as well as some historic buildings. The community has a wide range of recreational activities, including hiking, biking, and tennis. The two communities are only minutes apart and have numerous restaurants and bars. In addition, residents of both the North and South sides are within walking distance of each other.
